 THE COLOR CENTER began in 1957 on main street in Excelsior, Minn. We have been part of the beautiful Lake Minnetonka Community ever since. We began as a paint store. In the years following we have grown into a Full Service Home Improvement Center.

About 10 years ago we became part of the CARPET ONE family. This move has allowed us the purchasing power to bring great carpets, at the right price to our customers.

We are also MAGNUS ANDERSON  wood floor refinishers.

All of this growth has forced us to move a few blocks down the road. We are still in Excelsior, but now have the space to display all of our special services. These include Paint, Carpet, all types of  Wood Flooring, Ceramic Tile,  Fabrics, Window Treatments, and many types of countertops, including CAMBRIA.
